Midnight's Dawn Prayer
May there be colder days
Or darker nights, a storm
May there be a hurricane
No place to keep me warm
But deep within my heart
I'll always be strong
Let Love be my guise
Never steer me wrong
I'm a candle in the rain
That the winds will not tame
The light shall never fail
My heart's eternal flame.
2002
A poem I wrote in my early twenties. It's a poem of the struggle you feel before and during change, and how surreal it feels when you finally adapt to the originally fearsome new circumstance.
I dedicate this poem to a friend who is no longer with us.
Thanks for everything, Pedro
Fish Out Of Water
